Scottsdale will always reign supreme as the city with the best clubs in the Valley, but the West Side is finally comin' up!
I visited the Westgate City Center off Glendale Avenue and the 101 in Glendale this weekend and was excited to see all the potential that the West Valley has to offer.
I can remember hearing about how Glendale is hosting the Fiesta Bowl and the national college football championship this year and the Super Bowl in 2008.
I can't lie, I wondered to myself, "How is Glendale gonna show those people a good time? Glendale aint got any clubs, hotels, restaurants ... people are gonna be bored as hell or they'll have to go to Scottsdale!"
Well things are changin'! The Westgate City Center has restaurants, a movie theater and retail stores. Just a little tip for the fellas ... there's a nice date spot called Sweet O Wine and Chocolate Lounge across the street from the movie theater. You can't go wrong if you take your girl to Sweet O. Just trust me ...
Westgate is still the new kid on the block so you can expect to see hotels, more restaurants, retail stores, bars, etc. in the near future. I wouldn't mind buyin' one of the condos that's gonna be built at Westgate. I'd rent that thing out when the Super Bowl jumps off and make some serious cake! I'm lookin' forward to seeing Westgate blow up!
Also you got all the restaurants, clubs, bars and movie theaters near Arrowhead Mall just off Bell Road and the 101. McDuffy's and Fox and Hound are off tha chain!
The West Side still aint on Scottsdale's level but Mill Avenue in Tempe definitely has some competition now! Click here for more information on the nightlife in Glendale, Arizona!
