I'm an African American native (a 30-something male) of Phoenix, AZ who plans to live here for the rest of my life!

Since I am a native and well-connected to community news and leaders, I decided to create this blog to help other African Americans learn about the great events, organizations, businesses and people that are here for us in the Valley of the Sun!

Phoenix is a great metropolitan area for black people - WE just have to keep an open mind and be more proactive in exploring the wonderful venues and opportunities here!

By day, I serve as a writer/editor for a nonprofit organization and by night, I'm an extroverted brotha who likes to frequent networking events, restaurants, theatre performances, nightclubs, concerts and sports contests.

I am also a member of several community organizations and try to encourage my friends and colleagues to get more involved with local groups.
